Crazy Fan Girl? I Think So!

So my weekend was really bogus and really good all in one strange miss mash. I had to deal with my relatives in pictou (long story better not to ask) but I got to see the one band I've always wanted to see live, Sloan.

Half-way through grade 6 I was really getting bored of the music I was listening to and frankly it wasn't that great. My father had always been a fan of sloan and had a lot of their albums and he gave me Twice Removed, their second one. I loved it and then I bought most of their other albums (I have two or three left and two ep and I've got them all) so going to this concert was a big deal for me. I've been waiting half my life for this (They play in a lot of bars and I'm underage so I could never go to see them when they were in town. It sucks.).

It was far better than I could have ever hoped I sang along to almost all the songs, screamed, claped and pretty much acted like a fool. People kept on trying to get in front of me and my brother Martin and for the most part we let them and moved in after them. Eventually a lot of the people that were in thr front left so we ended up being in the second row where I could actually see the whole stage (I'm rather short so with everyone standing in front of me I couldn't see a thing).
The only problem was these two annoying girls who were younger than me and probably older than my brother (they didn't really act it). They didn't know any of the songs, I doubt they really knew who sloan was and their dancing was attrotious. I mean I know my dancing isn't great, that's why I don't dance in public. They made me angry.

I caught a chill because I didn't dress warm enough and it was outside and I was already kinda sick before we left. Now I'm more than just kinda sick. I woke up with a fever, slept half the day and have wished I was sleeping for the rest of it.

Other than the fact that I got sick this weekend has been amazing and I really hope I get to see sloan play again. I really do love those guys.
