Day 1: 10 things that make me happy are...

10 things that make me happy? I don't know if they exist.

1.) Piano. It makes me more happy than anything else it the world. It makes everything easier to deal with.

2.) Reading. Reading used to be my vice. I own over 300 books. Sad right?

3.) Old pictures. My memory isn't that great. By that great I mean I don't remember anything ever. To make sure I don't forget anything I hang pictures in my room. kinda geeky right?

4.) Band that are actually good. Different from my guilty pleasure because it's actually, you know, good.

5.) My jackets. They are lovely. And super awesome. ^^

6.) Shoes. All of which are bought from Aldo. Which means that they're cooler than yours (unless you have docs, birks or combat boots.)

7.) Not pants. Pants are uncomfortable and skirts and dresses are so much more comfortable and far more cute.

8.) Sleeping in in the mornings. Sleep is lovely and I don't get a lot.

9.) Coffee. Coffee is the best thing on the face of the planet. It has a lot to do with the lack of sleep.

10.) The internet. It is my life. So very very sad.

What Better To Kill A Social Life Than Homework Everynight.

I thought that my addiction to the internet was holding me back from doing cool fun things with my friends but I didn't realize that that was only the tip of the ice burg. This semester at school I am taking Pre Calculus, Chemistry. English and Band and the amount of homework I am getting on a nightly bases its not so dissimilar to the amount of homework your average IB kid might get. I'm talking about between 2 and 3 hours a night working on things for the next day not to mention the next week (that's what I've been spending the majority of today on. We have to write a compare and contrast essay on "The Closer You Get To Canada The More Things Will Eat Your Horses" by Thomas Cain and "The Lottery" by Shirley Jackson at some point this week after we have a class discussion about it on Monday and right now I'm doing the prep work which involves not being able to highlight anything on the page and having to write down every important quote with page and paragraph number so I can reference it later when I go to write it in an essay format.)

So I've been kinda busy lately. When I'm doing homework I'm on msn most of the time just so I don't kill my brain so I still get to talk to my friends but it's been a week since I've actually spent any time with them and I feel rather bad about it because I have to keep saying "No, I can't go out today because I have homework that I need to do". I mean they must feel pretty fustrated that I can never do anything because I'm either broke (I need to get a job) or because I'm too busy thinking I don't understand what to do for my Pre Calculus homework that I can't leave my house until i have a slight understanding of it.

This is a very long way of saying that high school sucks and I hope my work load lightens soon but I highly doubt it. Leave me something to brighten my day? I'd love you forever.

August's Already Done? What?

so apperently it's August 28th. Time Flies. I go back to school on the 2nd. gah. August's been a really busy month. I went camping twice, went to Magic Mountian (not fun when you're allergic to Chlorine.) and picked up my creation from the clay cafe (linkie dink to da tumblr demon)

For the past 8 days I've been in Keji. It was a pretty fun time. I read two books (reviews here), went swimming made some wicked fires, Marty crashed his bike and had to get five stitches, I went to some place had some lovely pasta, bought my friend some cool shit (pictures? Is that what you wanted?), bought another 104 year old book (score) and replaced my faerie mug (pics pics pics pics).

All in all it was a pretty good month but I'm dead tired. I'll activate the links later promise. Ask me questions? Kaythnx.

A Lovely Way To Spend Your Evening.

For those of you who are unaware the Perseid meteor shower was at it's peak tonight. Can you guess what I did? Lay on my lawn for four hours? Starring at the sky? Yes?

Yes, that's what I did. I saw 71 meteors in those four hours and everything was grand, though slightly lonely because no one would watch them with me.

Tell me your meteor shower stories and I'll love you forever.

Crazy Fan Girl? I Think So!

So my weekend was really bogus and really good all in one strange miss mash. I had to deal with my relatives in pictou (long story better not to ask) but I got to see the one band I've always wanted to see live, Sloan.

Half-way through grade 6 I was really getting bored of the music I was listening to and frankly it wasn't that great. My father had always been a fan of sloan and had a lot of their albums and he gave me Twice Removed, their second one. I loved it and then I bought most of their other albums (I have two or three left and two ep and I've got them all) so going to this concert was a big deal for me. I've been waiting half my life for this (They play in a lot of bars and I'm underage so I could never go to see them when they were in town. It sucks.).

It was far better than I could have ever hoped I sang along to almost all the songs, screamed, claped and pretty much acted like a fool. People kept on trying to get in front of me and my brother Martin and for the most part we let them and moved in after them. Eventually a lot of the people that were in thr front left so we ended up being in the second row where I could actually see the whole stage (I'm rather short so with everyone standing in front of me I couldn't see a thing).
The only problem was these two annoying girls who were younger than me and probably older than my brother (they didn't really act it). They didn't know any of the songs, I doubt they really knew who sloan was and their dancing was attrotious. I mean I know my dancing isn't great, that's why I don't dance in public. They made me angry.

I caught a chill because I didn't dress warm enough and it was outside and I was already kinda sick before we left. Now I'm more than just kinda sick. I woke up with a fever, slept half the day and have wished I was sleeping for the rest of it.

Other than the fact that I got sick this weekend has been amazing and I really hope I get to see sloan play again. I really do love those guys.
